Make DeFi accessible for all
How to Match the rapidly growing DeFi movement and its users. A lot have realized the necessity to look at having a frictionless UI/UX for interfaces. I was pretty new to the crypto universe when I started and I had to begin from scratch. With all the basics covered from various articles and thanks to Youtube. it struck my mind that why don't I design it for myself? being the complete normie to this industry. That's how my design process started.
Defi is potentially a growing market and a lot of people are new and don't even understand what is happening. It was the right time to experiment with interfaces and with help of design solve users' problems.
Accessible Design Matters
Need of the hour:
Primarily when you want to make DeFi accessible to everyone I weave in a strategy to consider the following few parameters for my design process:
1. Make it user-friendly for all, especially normies and newbies.
2. Educating the people.
3. Identifying existing user problems.
4. Bring in a frictionless onboarding experience.Contextual Design:
Designing interfaces that are adaptive to a user is a good user experience, that's lacking with Defi currently. The current Defi universe is data-driven and does not entirely adapt to what the user perceives. Context-driven design solves a lot of issues. Hence informative cues that help users make decisions quickly.
Enhancing User Experience with Contextual Interfaces
Contextual cues are an important aspect of user interface design. They communicate information to the user about an interface’s behavior without the need for explicit instructions. As users increasingly expect entirely intuitive applications, this form of communication is vital to modern user interfaces.
Contextual interfaces not only mean having extra information in the interfaces. Even adding a border around an element or group of elements is an easy way to create a common region. For example, in the Swap dialog below, borders are used to organize the many detailed options into two groups: The input field(token value), and summary(as a dropdown) are grouped by defining a background behind the group of elements.
With the outburst of decentralized financial applications available, many ecosystems are getting built and launched. It is necessary to involve design for the ecosystem to reach everyone. Let's simplify the revolutionary Web 3.0.
